Jitsi Live Class
The Jitsi Live Class Addon is designed to provide instructors a convenient and versatile way to host online classroom-style meetings. In Academy LMS, you can add Jitsi Live Class Addon to enhance the feature of taking online classes with course students.
Checking the latest version
Before Installing this process we would recommend you to check your application version. For this, you have to navigate to the "About" section from the "Settings" button.
- If you're running the latest version, then you are ready to install this addon.
Jitsi Live Class Addon Installation Process
The Steps listed below can be followed for Installing Jitsi Live Class Addon:
Download the addon you want to install on your application.
Go back to the application and log in as admin.
Select the "Addons" option from the left menu.
- Click on the "Install addon" button from the right side.
Provide a valid purchase code for your product.
Choose the addon file & click on the "Install Addon" button.
Your Addon will be installed.
How to Deactivate Jitsi Live class Addon
As an Admin you can deactivate this addon anytime. For deactivating this addon you can follow the steps:
Click on the "..." button from the right side.
Then click on the "Deactivate" button.
Click on the "Yes" button for confirmation.
Your Addon will be Deactivated.
You can reactivate Addon by clicking on the "Active" button from the action bar.
You can also update the addon by clicking on the "Addon update" button & know more about the button by clicking on the "About this addon" button.
How to Delete Jitsi Live Class Addon
As an Admin you can delete this addon if you want to. The steps below could be useful for deleting the jitsi live class addon:
Click on the "Delete" button from the action bar.
Tap on the "Yes" button for confirmation.
Your addon will be deleted.
How to Create Jitsi Live Class (Admin Panel)
An admin can create a Jitsi live class for any course in Academy LMS. The below steps might be helpful to create a jitsi live class:
Login as Admin
Select the "Course" option from the left menu.
Choose the "Manage course" option from the sub-menu.
Select the "Edit this course" button from the "Action" panel.
Select the "Jitsi live class" option and provide the required information:
Class Date
Class Time
Note for Students
Jitsi Meeting Password
Then enter your class topic from the right side.
Click on the "Submit" button from the "Finish" option.
You can view your live class schedule by clicking on the "View on frontend" button from the right side.
Scroll down & tap on the "Live class" option to view your class schedule. Then click on the "Join live video class" button to start your live class.
How to Create Jitsi Live Class (Instructor Panel)
The below steps might be helpful for creating a Jitsi live class in the Instructor panel:
Login as Instructor
Select the "Course Manager" option from the left menu.
Click on the "Edit this course" button from the "Action" panel.
Select the "Jitsi live class" option and provide the required information:
Class Date
Class Time
Note to Students &
Jitsi Meeting Password
Then enter your class topic from the right side.
Click on the "Submit" button from the "Finish" option.
You can view your live class schedule by clicking on the "View on frontend" button from the right side.
Scroll down & tap on the "Live class" option to view your class schedule. Then click on the "Join live video class" button to start your live class.
Student Panel
Students can join the live class if the Instructor arranges the class. They can also see their upcoming live classes from the "My course" option. The below steps might be helpful for that:
Log in as a student.
Select the "My course" option from the welcome page.
Click on the "Start now" button.
Then scroll down & tap on the "Live Class" section. Here you can view the class schedule. Click on the "Join live video class" to attend the live class.
Students can use a web application or browser to attend their classes.
