Assignment Addon

The Assignments Addon in Ekattor 8 is designed to enhance the functionality and efficiency of assignment submissions. This addon simplifies the assignment submission process for students by allowing teachers to set deadlines to ensure on-time submissions. Digital feedback and grading capabilities, additionally boost easy contact between teachers and students. An environment for learning that is more organized and productive can be made possible by its user-friendly interface and deadline management tools.


Checking The Latest Version

Before Installing this process we would recommend you to check your application version. For this, you have to navigate to the "About" section from the "Settings" button.



  • If you're running the latest version, then you are ready to install this addon.

    Assignments Addon Installation Process

    The Steps listed below can be followed for Installing the Assignments Addon:


    • Download the addon you want to install on your application.

    • Go back to the application and log in as Superadmin.

    • Select the "Addons" option from the left menu.

    • Click on the "Add new addon" button from the right side.


      • Choose the addon file & click on the "Install Addon" button.



        • Your Addon will be installed.


          How To Create & Manage Assignments in Admin/Instructor Panel

          The below steps can be followed to create assignments:

          • Login as Admin or Instructor

          • Select the "Assignments" option from the left menu.


            Here you can view your published assignment list from this "Published" section. You can also view the drafted and archived assignments by clicking on the "Drafts" and "Archives" sections. 






            You can also search for a specific one from the search box, filter the list, and export the PDF or print the list by clicking on the "Filter" And "Export" buttons.


            Note: All of the assignments, whether made by the teacher or the admin, are visible to the admin. But in the instructor panel, they can only view the assignment they have created.



            • To create an assignment click on the "Add Assignment" button from the right side.



              Here you need to provide;

              • Assignment Title

              • Select Class

              • Select Section

              • Select Subject

              • Submission Starting Date & 

              • Ending Date

              After providing the information click on the "Add Assignment" button for creating an assignment. 



              After clicking on the add assignment addon now you need to add questions to your assignment. For adding questions you need to click on the "Add Question" button from the right side.



              Here you need to provide;

              • Questions for the Assignment & 

              • Provide the mark for the question

              Now select the question type (Text, File) and click on the "Add Question" button to add a question for the assignment. 



              For editing your question click on the "Edit" button from the action bar of the question list. 



              Modify the information and click on the "Update Question" button to save the changes. 



              For deleting the question you need to click on the "Delete" button from the action bar. 



              You can edit your assignment information by clicking on the "Edit Assignment" button from the right side "Action" button. 



              Modify the information and click on the "Update Assignment" button to save your changes.



              You can publish your assignment by choosing the starting and ending date of your assignment submission and then clicking on the "Update Assignment" button to publish your assignment. 



              Note: You can also add or edit the question for the assignment after it has been published once. 


              You can view the students' submissions from this section once the assignment has been published. For this, you need to click on the "Open Submission" button from the "Action" button on the right side. 



              You can also delete your assignment by clicking on the "Delete Assignment" button from the "Action" button on the right side. 



              How To View Student's Submission

              The below steps can be followed for viewing student's submissions:

              • Click on the "Submission" button from the "Action" button of the published assignment list.



              Here you can view the list of all the students who have submitted their answers for the assignment. You can view their answers by clicking on the "Review" button from the action bar.



              Here you can review their answers and give marks. After reviewing, click on the "Save All" button to save the marks.




              After clicking on the allow re submission button the student's answer status will be marked as Pending.



              How to Submit Assignment Student Panel

              Your students can submit their answers from the student panel once you publish the assignment from the admin or instructor panel. The below steps might be helpful for this:

              • Login to the student panel

              • Secret the "My Assignment" button from the left menu. 


              Your student can view all the active assignments from this section. For submitting their answers they need to click on the "Open Assignment" button from the list.



              Write or upload answers to the question then click on the "Save" button.



              Note: Your students can edit their answers until they tap on the "Submit Assignment" button. 


              After submitting the answers they can view their results by clicking on the "View Result" button. 



              They can also download their result by clicking on the "Download" button.
