SMS Center Addon

The ability to send SMS messages to other students at your school can be enhanced with this SMS Center Addon. You can send essential messages and notices to the students, teachers, and parents with the help of this addon.


How it Works:

  • Ekattor 8 should be pre-installed on your server.
  • Purchase Sms Addon for Ekattor 8 application from Codecanyon.
  • Download and install the addon to your Ekattor 8 portal.
  • Follow the given documentation regarding the SMS Addon configuration setup.
  • Navigate to "Sms Center > Sms Settings" to configure a sms gateway and activate it.
  • Now navigate to the "SMS Sender" section.
  • Select student or parent, or teacher as sms receiver.
  • Write your message and click the "Send SMS" button.
  • Your message will be sent to the selected user's mobile number through your activated sms gateway.


To enhance this feature, you have to install this Addon on your application. Now, you have to navigate:

Checking the latest version

  • Before installing the process, we highly recommend you check that your current application version is 1.7 or above. To install the Sms Center addon, the application must be version 1.7 or higher. For this, you have to navigate to the "About" section from the "Settings" button.




How To Install & Manage Sms Center Addon?


Sms Center Addon Installation Process:

The Steps listed below can be followed for Installing Sms Center Addon:

  • Download the addon you want to install on your application.
  • Go back to the application and log in as Superadmin.
  • Select the "Addons" option from the left menu.
  • Click on the "Add new addon" button from the right side.




  • Choose the addon file & click on the "Install Addon" button.




  • Your Addon will be installed.


How To Deactivate The Sms Center Addon:

As a Superadmin you can deactivate this addon anytime. For deactivating this addon you can follow the steps:

  • Click on the "Action" button from the right side.
  • Then click on the "Deactivate" button.




  • Click on the "Yes" button for confirmation.




  • Your Addon will be Deactivated.




  • You can reactivate Addon by clicking on the "Active" button from the action bar.




How To Delete The Sms Center Addon:

As a Super admin, you can delete this addon if you want to. The steps below could be useful for deleting this Sms Center Addon:

  • Click on the "Delete" button from the action bar.




  • Tap on the "Yes" button for confirmation.




  • Your addon will be deleted.


How To Set Sms Center Addon in Admin Panel:

You can use the instruction below to set up the Sms Center Addon in the admin panel:

  • Log in as admin.
  • Tap the "Sms Center" option from the left menu.




After opening the "SMS center" panel, you have to configure the SMS settings. For this:

  • Click on the "SMS settings"

To activate the SMS gateway, choose an Sms Gateway(Twilio, MSG91) and then click on the "Save" button.




Updating Twilio Settings:

Next, you have to configure the Twilio settings. For this, you have to provide:

  • Twilio SID
  • Twilio token
  • Twilio sender phone number

After providing data, you have to click the "Update" button to save your settings.




Updating MSG91 Settings

To configure the MSG91 settings panel, you have to provide:

  • MSG91 authentication key
  • MSG91 sender ID
  • MSG91 route
  • MSG91 country code

Select the "Update" button for confirmation.




How to send sms:

After configuring the SMS settings, you can send SMS to the teachers, parents, and students. The below steps might be helpful for this;

  • Log in to the Admin panel.
  • Go to the "SMS center" option from the left menu.
  • Click on the "Send SMS" button.


To send an SMS, you have to select the receivers. You have to choose:

  • Receiver (Teachers/Students/Parents)
  • Class (Students/Parents))
  • Section (Students/Parents)

After choosing the receivers, click on the "Show receivers" button.

Now you can overview the receivers list. Here, you can select the specific receiver or all receivers. Click on the "Check all" option.




After writing the message or notice, you have to select the "Send SMS" button.


Note: The country code must always be included in the number.

You can overview and change the SMS settings by clicking the "Here" option on the "Instruction" panel.
